Who we are

United Contracting Tararua Roading CHB Works Infracon Aggregates INFRACON Limited is a Council Controlled Organisation with shareholder ownership spread between Tararua District Council (66%) and Central Hawkes Bay District Council (34%).

The new company name encompasses the company's activities; "INFRA" reflects the regional infrastructure - being the roading, sewerage, storm-water, and gas - and "CON" for construction or contractors. INFRACON Limited is the parent Company for three separate contracting divisions. Each Division operates under their own Divisional Manager and Construction Manager, with daily operations being co-ordinated from an operations cell located at each Divisional head office. The fourth Division (Infracon Aggregates), due to its diversity of operations is managed a little differently.

INFRACON Limited is certified for AS/NZS ISO9001:2000 Quality Management Systems. The goods and services supplied includes:

- The provision of road construction and road maintenance services (incorporating TQS2:1995).
- The provision and supply of river bank protection rock, roading aggregate, stone aggregate and chip.
- The supply of civil engineering contracting services for road maintenance and construction, underground services and buildings, earthworks, car parks and site development.
- The provision of civil engineering design and build services.
- The management of assets and services under contract, including lawn mowing, play ground equipment inspections, grave digging and water maintenance.
- The issuing of vehicle "warrant of fitness".

Our motto: "Your company, your people" denotes the background of where we come from.

In keeping with that motto INFRACON is proud to support the Dannevirke Triathlon and Multisport Club by sponsoring the INFRACON Challenge, (first held in 1992 under its former sponsor's name of the Norsewear Challenge).
