Retirements
Michael Ellmers, Waipukurau Shingle Plant Manager, retired after 24 years of service on 13 August 2004. We wish Michael well in his retirement.
Promotion

Stu Lee was promoted to Shingle Plant Manager at the Waipukurau Plant, replacing Michael Ellmers. Stu is in charge of a fixed crushing plant and ready mixed concrete operations.
Work Ahead
The boys at the ready mixed concrete plant will be busy for the next 18 months delivering 1000m3 to a house site at Wakarara Road. The site, being developed by an international banker, requires 250m3 for garden landscaping and 750m3 for the house site!
Aggregates will also be supplying approximately 4000m3 PSV Sealing Chip to Works Infrastructure. The chip will be used for reseals on State Highways and will be carted to Morere, north of Wairoa, Te Haroto on the Napier- Taupo Road as well as the Napier, Hastings and Central Hawke's Bay regions.
Congratulations
Congratulations to Kerry Rogers for obtaining his A Grade Quarry Manager's Certificate. Kerry will become the manager of the Linton Quarry while County Clarke is in the Sudan.
Farewell
As mentioned above County is off to the Sudan to work as Project Manager for the United Nations contract, Mechanical Mine Clearance. Have fun County - don't forget to take your sunblock. |

New Plant
Infracon Aggregates took possession of an 88 tonne Cat 375 excavator for Linton Quarry. The excavator, principally operated by Michael Butler, has a bucket capacity of 8 tonne and an estimated life of 70,000 hours. The excavator is pictured below alongside the old Cat 245 digger.

Two Hitachi 6x6 Dump Trucks were purchased in March this year. They are pictured here at Oringi stockpiling river run. Infracon Aggregates had recently been crushing AP65 and M4 Basecourse for Tararua Roadings Oringi Passing Lane Contract.
